First of all, the problem that Alexa was suffering from is the "discipline". This problem really affects the student negatively. Moreover, every problem is caused by some factors, for example the causes of Alexa's problem are: she wants more attention and motivation. To be more clear and explain the problem in details, Alexa distracts the section or group that she was working with, and also, she didn’t make any homework and give it to the teacher. However, Alexa was suffering from this problem, but her teacher tried many strategies to solve them and they were so effectively according to her. First strategy is: making conferences with her to tell her that there is a problem in the class related to her. Besides, he told her too that she is misbehaving in the class, she forgot her assignments, but unfortunately Alexa every time she had excuses to tell such as my grandma is sick and this is not true.
Second strategy the teacher used is to ask her if she wants to change her section in order to concentrate more and the good here was that he was asking her if she "wants" and she was answering by "Yes" or "No" this type of teachers is really appreciated. When the teacher asked this question, Alexa preferred to be in her section but in return she must do her homework in the next day and she accepted that, which me they do an agreement between each other. Third strategy, the teacher let his student to realize her problem first in order to solve it.
As a result, the teacher when he solved the problem of his student, he fulfilled her needs and support her too, because he approached the problem and tried to solve it with possible solutions.
Every strategy of the mentioned above are highly effective, because making conference with the student helps you to solve the problem by let him/her to realize it. The second one, is to ask ore make the student take the discission that is logically correct because he/she knows the right from the wrong decisions. The last one is to solve this problem actually by using the mentioned strategies above.
According to me, there are other solutions that teachers may follow in order to solve such discipline problems in class, for instance: Be professional, have a good control procedure, engaging the students, etc.…
In General, if you want to solve any problem first you should confirm and admit that yes this is a problem and I have to solve it for example: if you want to make diet you should realize that you are overweight.
